Vertical Reality Simulations (or simply VRS), established in 2004, is an award-winning developer of professional-level PC-based combat aircraft simulation software. VRS products are available for both consumer and commercial applications. VRS products run under a variety of platforms including Microsoft/Dovetail Flight Simulator® and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D®. Our unique approach to fly-by-wire modeling and control law scheduling on micro-simulator platforms enables us to provide accurate solutions costing many times less than traditional training solutions of similar fidelity.
In addition to aircraft simulations, VRS offers a technically advanced, completely combat capable platform which runs under FSX and Prepar3D through a series of modules we call the TacPack. True object-based weapons systems simulation and radar warning receiver integration position the TacPack as the first and only system of its kind to offer off-the-shelf, combat-ready simulation combined with the expansive and accurate environments offered by the FSX/Prepar3D platforms.
VRS is an SAIC vendor with training solutions in place with the USAF Air Education & Training Command and USMC, as well as location-based entertainment centers in countries around the world. Inititives such as AETC's recently launched Pilot Training Next program are proving that low-cost training solutions using emergent technologies such as VR, can be far more cost-effective without diminishing the quality of the learning experience. VRS is at the forefront of this new low-cost, high-quality "Continuum of Learning."
